I received an ARC from the Author/Publisher in exchange for an honest review of this book.
In book 2 in the Nocturne Falls series, Kristen has again surpassed my expectations. While much lighter in spirit than her House of Comarré series, she navigates the world of the supernatural with well supernatural skills. With the ease she brings you into the world of the supernatural, I think she just might be one masquerading as a human.
Book 2 focuses on hunky Hank Merrow the Sheriff of Nocturne Falls. When his father comes to him and proposes an arranged marriage with a rival pack to broker peace and pay an old debt, Hank agrees knowing that this was always a possibility with him being the Alpha’s Heir. What he doesn’t expect is how much he actually likes Ivy. She’s definitely not what he was anticipating.
Ivy brings her own issues to the equation, but she’s also super attracted to hunky Hank. She fears her secrets will end whatever chance at happiness she has. Will her past or pack ruin everything before she has a chance?
Romance: Moderate (all behind closed doors).
I have to give this book 5 stars. Kristen ensures that all mature content occurs behind closed doors so something any teen could read with confidence. There is some mild violence, but nothing gory. Another great read from Kristen.
