I received an ARC from the Author/Publisher in exchange for an honest review.
I have long loved Kristen Painter’s work. Getting the opportunity to read one of her books prior to it’s release is treat. Kristen is a brilliant writer, and with all her other works I’ve read, this one is up to her usual standards and doesn’t disappoint.
Book 3 of the Nocturne Falls series follows Willa the Fae Jeweler of the town and Nick a Gargoyle resident with a new job at the park fountain. Unwittingly Willa conscripts Nick’s help when she makes a wish using opal she had in her pocket in the fountain while touching what she thinks is a new statue.
Nick & Willa get along quite well, and their story is filled with more than a little bit of fae magic.
I won’t ruin the story, but if you liked VMOB or WMHM (Nocturne Falls 1 & 2) you will love this book too. With every book Kristen writes, I am more convinced she’s an immortal. I have yet to figure out what type, but I’ll pry it out of her one way or another eventually.
Romance: Mild behind closed doors (PG-13)
Violence: Mild mostly off camera
This book definitely gets 5 stars.
